JP2025 Grand Finale

Nigerian Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, influencer, actress and brand ambassador Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian singer husband, Juma Jux, formally concluded their wedding festivities with a grand finale celebration (JP2025 Grand Finale) in Tanzania on 28 May 2025.  

The couple began their multi-phase wedding journey in February and have since captured hearts with their glamorous, cross-cultural love story. Priscilla recently shared a stunning video on Instagram showcasing their coordinated outfits, accompanied by a heartfelt caption: “Forever with my boo.”

Their union has been spectacular and exemplary. It all started with an intimate wedding introduction in Tanzania, attended by close family and friends. This was followed by a star-studded civil ceremony held on the eve of Valentine’s Day, featuring prominent figures.

Nigeria Beats Egypt on Penalties to Claim U-20 AFCON Bronze

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated hosts Egypt in the third-place clash at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium, Cairo, today Sunday, 18 May 2025, at the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament Egypt 2025.

The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, before Nigeria kept their nerve in the shootout to secure their fifth bronze medal in U-20 AFCON history.

Nigeria Flying Eagles Defeat Senegal 3 – 1 to Reach U–20 AFCON Semi-Finals

The Nigeria’s U-20 Flying Eagles qualified for the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations U-20 tournament, as well as the FIFA U-20 World Cup after a dramatic penalty shots victory over Senegal at Ismailia Stadium in Egypt on Monday, 12 May 2025.

Nigeria held their nerve to secure a place in the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2025, defeating defending champions Senegal 3-1 on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation and extra time at the Suez Canal Stadium on Monday.

Leo XIV Elected As First American Pope

On the second day of the conclave, Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected as the first US-born Pontiff on Thursday, 8 May 2025, to lead 1.4 billion Roman Catholics and will be known as Pope Leo XIV. He greeted his new followers by saying, “Peace be with you.” Leo stepped into his role as the 267th pope on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica on Thursday evening, addressing thousands of cheering Catholics calling for peace and paying tribute to the late Pope Francis.

Flying Eagles of Nigeria arrived in Ismailia, Egypt on Thursday, 8 May 2025, for    U-20 AFCON Quarterfinal showdown. After an underwhelming group phase, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria will now take on their quarterfinal opponents in Ismailia.

The seven-time champions, who have already secured their place in the quarterfinals, are set to face an opponent yet to be determined on Monday, 12 May 2025.
