A Nigerien Nabbed with 1,000 Passport Photographs of Boys

It was reported that a middle-aged Nigerien was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for possessing more than 1,000 passport photographs of young boys. A camera and several forms were aslo found on the suspect according NAN.
 
Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesman of the police command, in a statement in Abeokuta on Saturday, said that the suspect was arrested at Ogijo on Friday.

He said, “the suspect, who claimed to be staying with one Alhaji Ismalia Abu in Ikeja area of Lagos State since 2013, could not explain his mission in Ogijo or what he was doing in the country.”
 
Adejobi said, “the Ogun Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye, had directed that the case should be transferred to the Ogun Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service for further investigations.”
 
“When the immigration authorities are through with the investigations, the state Police Command will decide on the next line of action,” the statement added.
 
Adejobi assured members of the public that the police would continue to do their best toward ensuring security.
 
He commended residents of Ogijo, particularly the community leadership, for the support offered in arresting the suspect.
