Nigeria U-23 took on Honduras U23 in the third place final of
the Rio Olympics men's football event in Belo Horizonte with 3 – 2 win to entitle Bronze medal for Nigeria.
The first goal came through Sadiq Umar who converted an accurate pass from the team captain Mikel Obi to the left of Honduras goal keeper Luis Lopez.

grace and opened the second-half with another goal from Aminu Umar who
complemented a tough shot from Daniel outsde the box 18 of Honduras at 56 min.
The third goal followed by the same striker Sadiq Umar who
sustained Mikel Obi’s conversion to give the team rest of mind.
The dream team relaxed and received tough revenge from Antony Lozano and Marcelo Pereira who redeemed the winning goals to 3 – 2 at 70 and 87 mins respectively for Nigeria dream team to claim the Bronze.
