The Nollywood Veteran Actor, Ogun Majek, Passes On

The Yoruba Nollywood veteran actor, Alhaj Hakeem Gbolagade Akinpelu popularly known as Ogun Majek (Alias: Gudugudu A b’Eyin Jakanjakan) at last surrendered to the cold hand of death at early hour of 25 June, 2020. The gifted actor who was said to have been under the weather for some time was said to have given up the ghost Thursday morning at his Imalenfalafia home, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria. The veteran actor nurtured strange ailment before resort to his last repose. May His gentle rest in perfect peace.

The death of the actor was confirmed in a Facebook post by veteran filmmaker Tunde Ola-Yusuf.
The post reads:
“From him we come and onto him we shall return. Alh. Gbolagade Akinpelu Ogunmajek has returned to his creator on 25 June, 2020 11:48am. May God Almighty rest his soul among the righteous.”
The President of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr. Latin, also confirmed his death.
The news of his death came barely 48 hours after the death of fellow actor Bose Adewoyin better known as Madam Tinubu.
Adewoyin who is best known for her role as Madam Tinubu in ‘EFUNROYE TINUBU’ died on Tuesday morning, 23 June, 2020.
Until her death, Bose Adewoyin was a staff of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, where she had participated in many editions of the National Festival of Arts and Culture, NAFEST.
