Nigerian Super Eagles Crunched Algeria 2-0 in Marrakesh on
Saturday, 10 January 2026, with goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams in
each half sending the Green Eagles through to a semifinal against hosts Morocco
at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
After thoroughly outplaying their counterparts, the Super
Eagles deservedly booked their place in the final four.
They ruled the relevant
statistics, managing 12 shots compared to Algeria’s two. More crucially, they
had five shots on target, while the Desert Foxes couldn’t even muster one.
Their talisman, Osimhen,
played a significant role, scoring the opening goal before assisting Adams’s
goal to put Nigeria firmly in control of the contest.
Meanwhile, Senegal is meeting Egypt at Ibn Batouta Stadium on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, after the latter over-powered the Elephant warriors of Ivory Coast with 3 -2 win.
