The Ibadan Businessman, Ajadi Olaninhun Passes Away at 69

The Ibadan business mogul and philanthropist, Mufutau Ajadi Olaninhun died on Sunday at the age of 69 after a prolonged illness and has been buried according to Islamic rites on the same day. He is survived by wives, children and grandchildren.

The situation behind his death remains unclear as every family member was reticent and short of words while a nearby family confirmed his death on the condition of anonymity, said, “our father and brother is dead.” The immediate families are expected to address public about Olaninhun’s death while they urge the public to pray for his gentle soul and all his beloved ones he left behind.

A Woman Stabs Her Husband to Death over Election’s Winning Candidate, APC or PDP

A 26-year-old pregnant woman stabbed her husband to death on Sunday during a quarrel over who would emerge winner between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidates, while voting was on-going at Ejigbo, Lagos. The woman, simply called Onyiyechi, has been arrested by police according to Lagos State Police Command. The incident occurred at about 1200hrs inside the couple’s one room apartment at 81 Military zone junction. The whole densely populated area was thrown into disarray for this unthinkable incident.

Nigeria Made It to Seven Times AYC Title

Nigeria won the African Youth Championship for the seventh time to break record in the tournament after beating hosts Senegal 1-0 in the final of the 2015 edition at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium, Dakar on Sunday, 22nd March, 2015. The two sides met for the second time in the competition after the Flying Eagles had beaten the Young Lions 3-1 at the group stage where Nigeria topped the group and forged ahead to the semi-finals.

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo threw Abeokuta into funfair on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 as MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta was filled with fun when Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) team led by 78-year-old colossus OBJ dragged Ogun State Government team led by the Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun into 2 – 1 lead to win the match.
The novelty match was scheduled to commemorate the 78th birthday of Obasanjo who played as skipper in the match and marked 78 years breakthrough.
