Handover Ceremony and Tour of Aso Villa
Pres. Jonathan this morning officially handed over the
comprehensive report of his tour of duty to President-elect Buhari at the State
House in Abuja today, May 28th during his facility tour of Aso Villa. Outgoing ministers were present at the
ceremony. Presidential publicity adviser Reuben Abati shares photos from the ceremony
and tour of Aso Villa.
While receiving the handover notes from the
out-going President Goodluck Jonathan this morning, President-elect, Buhari
said, for stabilizing Nigeria's democracy, President Jonathan had earned a
place in Nigeria's history.

The Falcon Crest, Asisat Oshoala, Wins BBC World Women’s Footballer of the Year
The incumbent African Women’s Footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala,
has come over it again to be the maiden BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award.
Following a poll held online, as well as via mobile phone
and handheld devices, Reds star Oshoala received the most votes to become the
winner.
Liverpool Ladies star Asisat Oshoala has been named as the
BBC Women's Footballer of the Year for 2015.
Mother Thrashed 13-Year-Old Daughter for Posing as a Freaky’ Adult on FB
Her Facebook page stated that she’s 19 years old while
she’s 13. She is “a freak” and had her images in lacy underwear. That is,
until the thirteen-year-old’s mother, Val Starks, found out about the false
identity and relation on FB.
A Denver mother's video on Facebook is going viral after she
shamed her 13-year-old daughter for posting racy pictures and saying she was 19
years old.
"You're 13," the mother, Valerie Starks, says to the girl. "So why does your Facebook page say that your 19? Are you 19?"
The girl, whose face has been blurred in the video, says, "No."

Nigeria’s Ufot 24, Emerges Best Engineering Student in Tokai University, Japan
24-year-old
Nigerian student, Ufot Ekong, emerged the best all round graduating students at
Tokai University, Tokyo, Japan. Ufot studied Robotics and Electrical
Engineering and graduated with First Class Honours.
The last
time a Nigerian graduated with a similar Grade Points Average (GPA) was 50
years ago. He won the best engineering student award in the Faculty of
Engineering at the undergraduate category, as well as the university
president’s prestigious award for the best all-round student.

Aliko Dangote Means to Buy Arsenal FC
Despite the first strive of the
Africa’s richest man to acquire a stake in the Arsenal Football Club in 2010 was
rebuffed by the owners, the philanthropist said he’s still working towards
buying the club.
While on a journey from Addis Ababa
to Lagos on Friday 1st May, 2015, Dangote told Bloomberg and expressed
hope that his new strategy would enable him buy the north London club at a
price the owners won’t want to resist. “I still hope, one day at the right
price, that I’ll buy the team. I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a
price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.”
