President Buhari Visits Egypt Today for Africa 2016 Forum
President Muhammadu Buhari is departing Abuja today for Sharm El-Sheikh,
Egypt, to participate in the Business for Africa, Egypt and the World Forum.
According to Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the
President on Media and Publicity, the forum which opens in the Egyptian resort
town of Sharm El-Sheikh tomorrow, is organised by the
Egyptian Government under the auspices of the African Union Commission. He said the forum's objective was to accelerate
private sector engagement and investment within Africa and promote the
development of African ties and partnerships.

Olubadan to Be Laid to Rest on Friday (Lying-in-State)
The Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland,
High Chief Lekan Balogun, on Monday 8 February, 2016 described the lying-in-state
of the late Olubadan, Oba Samuel Odulana, as way of giving Ibadan people an
opportunity to "show to the world the appreciation of the man, who had
ruled us in Ibadanland."
The High Chief made this comment,
following the unprecedented lying-in-state organised in honour of the late Oba
in Igbo-Elerin community, his family compound, in Oja'gbo, Ibadan

Floyd Mayweather, Boxer of the Year for the Third Time
The heavyweight boxer, Floyd
Mayweather, wins the boxer of the year award for the third time. He has been
voted the 2015 Sugar Ray Robinson Fighter of the year award after the Boxing
writers Association of America announced its balloting results.
The winner won the award in 2007, 2013
and 2015 joining other boxing legends like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray
and Evander Hollyfield as the only fighters to have won the award thrice.
He won the award on the strength of his
victory over Manny Pacquiao and Andrew Berto in 2015.
A Popular Nollywood Actor Arakangudu Passes Away
The bully actor mainly practiced
his acting in the traditional Yoruba genre of Nollywood, perfect in portraying
herbalists and armed robbers. As a movie producer, he had to his credit many
award-winning movies, such as: Aje Olokun, Agba Osugbo, Ilu Gangan, Iya Oko
Bournvita, Ogbologbo, etc. He was also a movie director and directed a couple
of movies.
