The Nigeria Super Falcons beat the Egyptian Cleopatras 6 – 2 win to reach of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) quarter-finals on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, in their final Group C match at the Rabat Olympic Stadium. With this, Nigeria booked their place in the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON.

The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has put his alma mater, Ibadan Boys’ High School, in suspense by promising a royal visit to the school after his coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland, teaching Physics and Mathematics to students during the visit. 

Oba Adewolu made the promise on Monday 8 September, 2025 while hosting the school’s management team, led by its Principal, Rasheed Fasasi, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The monarch-in-waiting said the visit would be an opportunity to reconnect with his roots and inspire the students, recalling that he once served as a teacher at the school.
