Nollywood Actress, Henrietta Kosoko Dies At 53

A Nollywood actress, Henrietta Kosoko, wife of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, passed on at the Sacred Heart Catholic Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta on Monday 6th June, 2016, at the age of 53. She celebrated her 53rd birthday last week. She was said to have slumped and rushed to the hospital.
Henrietta (Nee Onovosa) was said to be in coma and sadly, she eventually gave up the ghost. The actress who started her career decades ago with a Yoruba movie titled 'Omolade' has been battling with diabetes for a while now and she has managed to cope with.
Henrietta came into the limelight in 1995 after starring in movie titled, 'Omolade' as well as an English one named 'Onome'. She was an able actress in both Yoruba and English genres. But Henrietta Kosoko, a very robust actress, married to a popular actor and one time president of the Association of Nigeria Theatre-Arts Practitioners (ANTP), an umbrella body of all Yoruba thespians in the country, Prince Jide Kosoko, cut her niche immediately after featuring in that popular Yoruba movie, Omolade and Onome.
Henriette Kosoko has featured in a great number of movies and drama series on TV. She hails from Edo State and was mentored by her husband, Jide Babs.
