Nigerian Athletic Oluwatobiloba Amusan won Gold medal in the women's 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA.

The sprint hurdler clocked a new world record in the women’s 100m hurdles semi final early hours of Monday, 25 July 2022, on the closing day of the World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons Get Applauds Despite Loss to Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the Semi-Final WAFCON Morocco 2022

The Nigeria Super Falcons suffered an excruciating 5 – 4 penalties defeat to the Atlas Lionesses on Monday 18 July 2022, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium packed with almost 45,000 fans in Rabat, Morocco.

The Falcons were reduced to 9 women after Halimatu Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade were both sent off in the second half following clumsy tackles.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons Beat Cameroon’s Lionesses to Qualify for Semi-final at Morocco 2022 WAFCON and Clinch 2023 Women’s World Cup Ticket

The Super Falcons of Nigeria won Lionesses of Cameroon in an epic quarterfinal battle held on Thursday evening 14 July 2022 inside the Stade Mohammed V in the Morocco’s commercial and economic capital, Casablanca in the ongoing Morocco 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). With this expensive trophy the Falcons have secured a ticket to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria Randy Waldrum admitted that the Super Falcons had a tough encounter against the Lionesses.
