Athletic Oluwatobiloba Amusan won Gold medal in the women's 100m hurdles at the
World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
The sprint hurdler clocked a new world record in the women’s 100m hurdles semi final early hours of Monday, 25 July 2022, on the closing day of the World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022.
The 25-year-old Nigerian lady has been giving signals
of her readiness to become the focal
point of the sprint hurdle starting with
racing to an African record of 12.40 to win her heat on Saturday.
The Nigerian gold medalist Tobi Amusan wiped out the
previous record in the semis of the women's 100m hurdles with a flying time of
12.12 seconds. Amusan eclipsed the previous record of 12.20 set by American
Kendra Harrison in London, UK, six years ago.
World Champion, Oluwatobiloba Amusan shed tears of joy as the Nigerian
anthem was played to celebrate her Gold medal in the 100m hurdles at the World
Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
