The Brazilian football icon, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pele died on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at a Sao Paulo hospital. He had been diagnosed of bowel cancel for age and receiving chemotherapy for bowel cancer before died on his fateful day, Thursday, December 29.

Fake New ₦1,000 Notes in Circulation, See the Difference

It was reported that few days after the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, released the redesigned naira notes in the denominations of ₦200, N500 and ₦1,000, fake copies of the new ₦1,000 naira notes have been released into circulation.

A mobile money and bank agent in a video disclosed this saying that a customer performed a bank transaction through his wife’s Point of Sale (PoS) using the fake copy of the redesigned ₦1,000.

The Nigeria Super Falcons suffered an excruciating 5 – 4 penalties defeat to the Atlas Lionesses on Monday 18 July 2022, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium packed with almost 45,000 fans in Rabat, Morocco.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III joined his ancestral late hours yesterday Friday, 22 April 2022, at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State in the South-West Nigeria.

The remains of the colossal monarch of Yorubaland were brought back to Oyo town in the early hours of Saturday, 23 April 2022 for burial.

Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, was born Prince Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi on 27 May 1926 into the Royal House of Oluwusi in the town of Ogbomosho to the reigning king, Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi, Ajagungbade I, and one of his queens, Seliat Olatundun Oyewumi.
