Detectives in Ondo State have nabbed a
notorious Lebanese Arab who craves for deflowering underage girls in Akure.
The 32-year-old Lebanese used to
crave for having carnal knowledge of underage girls before the detectives
traced him and put him into their net for investigations.
It was gathered
that his victims' recruiter, Patience, was arrested at her hideout in Odopetu
area of Akure metropolis and one 14-year-old girl about to be taken to the
Lebanese rescued.
The
State Police Command said she was arrested at the Olufoam area of Federal
Housing Estate, Shagari village in Akure following intelligence reports.
Also a household woman, Chinwe
Chinasa, who was alleged of trafficking six young girls to Libya for
prostitution has been arrested.
The
command image maker, Wole Ogodo, said after the raid on the hideout, it was
discovered that the six young girls had been prepared for the journey to Libya
and part of the preparation was shaving of their hairs and cutting of their
nails.
Some
of the girls confirmed that the suspect deceived their parents that she was
going to help them look for jobs and not prostitution. They alleged that they
were virgins before they were lured into the illicit business by the suspect.
The
girls were said to have pleaded that the police should temper justice with
mercy since they were deceived into the trade by the suspect.
The
command assured that investigation was ongoing to apprehend all other
collaborators.
