A
Honours and Tributes Ceremony was held by the Anambra State Government on
Wednesday, August 27, 2014 for late Amazon, Prof. Dora Akunyili, at the Women
Development Centre, Awka, the Anambra State capital, in preparation for her
burial the following day. The well-attended event hosted by Chief Willie
Obiano, Governor of Anambra State was graced by eminent personalities.
Her body
will later be taken to her husband’s house in Agulu, Anambra for another round
of activities and she will finally lay to rest today 28th August, 2014.
